Okanagan Vibes glicee paper prints

This piece was inspired during an early spring biking/ camping trip along the rail trail in Okanagan BC. Our group had awoken at an ungodly hour to start our descent into the stunning wine country known as the Naramata bench. The shadows felt dark and cold, our hands and noses chilled as we sped toward the lake. As the descent progressed the day arrived, beams of warmth and light shone through the mist and sparkled with aliveness across the newly grown colourful flora.  It was one of those moments you instantly recognise as special. 

The goal of my artwork, Okanagan Vibes, was to capture the soft pinks, blues, and greens attributed to spring mornings in a typically arid climate. It was also a way for me to express my gratitude for a moment that was filled with so much beauty and aliveness.
